Conservation & Sustainability:

Columbian Home Products

The porcelain on steel cookware of Graniteware is superior to chemical non-stick surfaces.  Inert and composed mainly of glass, the porcelain is odorless, tasteless, and will not interact with food.  Created from sand, the porcelain coating is sustainable and, ultimately, renewable.  The steel, encased in the porcelain, does not oxidize and will not interact with the cooking or taste of your
food.

Snow River Products

Snow
River
is dedicated to reducing the amount of wood material waste by cutting down fewer trees.  In an alliance with leading, high-end, wood craftsmen and premium cabinetry makers in the Northeast, these craftsmen provide Snow River with their recovered, smaller pieces of Select and Better Grade of premium hardwoods.  Over 75% of the material used to produce our wood products comes from these fine furniture manufacturers.

Snow River's manufacturing plant has a rich history, dating back to the late 1940's.  All sawdust, a byproduct of the manufacturing process, is recycled and sold to suppliers who make wood pellets for fuel in wood burning stoves, leaving virtually no landfill residue from our manufacturing.  We are proud of our sustainability commitment in helping to protect our beautiful wood resources.
